72 + miles of spectacular scenery and variety of terrain up through the heart of the Lake District

CUMBRIA WAY CYCLE ROUTE
The Scenic 2 day alternative to the C2C
72 - 80 Miles of superb cycling from Ulverston in the South Lakes
up through breathtaking Lake District scenery to Keswick then onto Carlisle in the North Lakes

This is a newly researched cycle route over 72 miles
( 80 miles if you use the 2 off-road sections) of beautiful
Lake District countryside.
This route should not be confused with the 'Cumbria Cycle Way'.
Our ride loosely follows the 'Cumbria Way' walk route which has
been walked and enjoyed for decades by countless numbers of
people who love walking and enjoy the Lake District for its
natural beauty and variety of terrain.

This cycle route encompasses everything the Cyclist loves:
a superb variety of terrain, ranging from country roads to rugged
off-road trails, up 'leg burning' hills, down on to grassy bridlepaths.
(off-road sections, on both days, are optional).

You will ride through the heart of the Lake District with scenery
that is unsurpassed anywhere in England.
The
views are a small selection of those that you will see and
enjoy on the Cumbria Way Cycle Route (C.W.C.R.).

They will give you an idea of the type of terrain and breathtaking
views that you will experience whilst cycling this route through
the Lake District.
